Users must complete onboarding and approval before they can bid, buy, list, or respond to buy requests.
Escrow-led NZU trading, not exchange-style matching
Carbon Trader® provides a controlled marketplace for verified users to create spot NZU auction listings and funded buy requests, with escrow checkpoints and actual NZU delivery through custody wallet or ETS account settlement.
What Carbon Trader® does and does not do
Carbon Trader® does not operate a continuous anonymous order book, margin facility, cash-settled product, derivative product, or licensed exchange service. Any future product outside spot NZU escrow settlement would need separate legal and governance review before release.
Listings and buy requests remain controlled through operational checkpoints before activation, release, and completion.
Wallet NZUs are intended to be backed 1:1 by NZUs held in the nominated ETS account, with withdrawals reviewed by operations.
Things to understand before using Carbon Trader®
NZU prices can move, policy settings can change, and settlement timing can depend on user, bank, ETS, and operational steps. Carbon Trader® provides marketplace and escrow workflow services only. It does not provide financial, legal, tax, investment, or emissions-compliance advice.
All trading activity should be for spot NZU transfer and actual settlement.
Users remain responsible for their own NZ ETS, legal, accounting, tax, and operational obligations.
Carbon Trader® may pause, review, or reject activity where compliance, fraud, conduct, or settlement risk is identified.
